HOUSTON (January 24, 2012)] – Associated Builders and Contractors of Greater Houston Chapter named its 2012 officers and board at the annual inauguration dinner January 11th at the Petroleum Club. ABC Greater Houston membership elected five officers and 28 board members from Greater Houston’s industrial and commercial construction businesses, as well as suppliers and associates to the building and construction industry. ABC Greater Houston has 464 member companies.
Dwayne Boudreaux of Turner Industries Group, LLC was elected 2012 chair of the ABC
Greater Houston board; Lohn Zylicz of D.E. Harvey Builders, Inc., chair elect; Tim Ricketts of
Cajun Constructors, Inc., vice chair; Darlene East of Holes Inc., secretary; and Leonard A. Bedell
of Mobil Steel International , Inc., treasurer. Neil Adams of Gilbane Building Company continues
to serve on the board as immediate past chair.
Boudreaux challenged the board and general membership during the recent inaugural
dinner to get actively involved and continue ABC Greater Houston’s success that has established
the nationally recognized chapter as the leading commercial and industrial construction
association. ABC Greater Houston has increased membership growth 12 consecutive years.
“ABC members are some of Houston’s safest and most innovative commercial and industrial
construction contractors and suppliers,” Boudreaux told members.
“ABC Greater Houston helps me succeed in business by providing me direct contact with
companies with which I want to do business,” Boudreaux added. “By being actively engaged in
ABC, I have had the opportunity to personally meet with elected and regulatory officials, and
educate those leaders about fair regulation and the importance of creating a pro-business
environment in Texas.”
